Technical area
The invention relates to a device for cutting defined in depth, in particular a sausage or the skin of meat sausages to be grilled in particular, the device having a gripping element and at least one cutting element.
State of the art
Grilled sausages are usually cut several times on both sides before grilling so that the fat or juice can escape and thus a bursting of the sausage is avoided by the strong heating. So far this has been done in the traditional way with a knife. The sausage is cut to a certain cutting depth, which is usually several millimeters, whereby an enlarged surface is created and the deep cuts significantly shorten the necessary roasting or grilling time and the absorption of spices is increased. In the case of larger quantities, this means a corresponding expenditure of time. In addition, there is also the risk of injury. Furthermore, when working with the knife, it is rarely possible to achieve a desired uniform cutting depth and an approximately uniform distance.
From DE 20 2012 007660 U is a device in the training as a grilled sausage cutter known, which is simply given with a little momentum in a funnel. The hopper is formed by the housing and a beveled sheet metal. Due to the momentum and the weight of the sausage, it falls past two opposing knife blocks and is cut on both sides. The sausage falls out of the grilled sausage cutter and can thus be removed via a slide installed in the lower part of the grilled sausage cutter.
From DE 20 2007 012118 U is a manual cutting device for cutting a sausage skin has a gripping block with a number of blades aligned parallel to one another. The blades are let in on a flat side of the gripping block with a protrusion, preferably at the same distance from one another. Cutting edges of the blades are directed away from the flat side and extend essentially over the entire length of the gripping block. With the proposed cutting device it is possible to cut a sausage multiple times in a defined manner by one movement process. The blades grip the sausage skin at the same time, so that the skin is cut.
Disadvantages of the prior art
The known from the prior art devices for cutting the skin of a sausage to be grilled are very complex and therefore expensive, especially in terms of production costs. In addition, the blades that are used to cut into the skin are made of metal, so that they are subject to a certain amount of wear. Since the wear and tear of a knife or a blade leads to poor cutting results, the consumer is forced to replace all of the blades.
Furthermore, a disadvantage can be seen in the training with several blades that the effort is much higher, since the corresponding opposing forces must be overcome by all blades for the incision process.
In the case of the gripping block consisting of many blades there is also the disadvantage that the blades are arranged very closely parallel to one another and so very narrow cavities are created between the individual blades. As a result, meat remains from the cutting process collect there. Cleaning is time-consuming due to the narrow spacing between the individual blades and can either only be cleaned by hand or with devices that provide high water pressure. Due to the large number of blades, there is also a not inconsiderable risk of injury during the cleaning process.
However, there is also a potential risk when using the gripping block. The individual blades must be very sharp for proper cutting. But if the gripping block is held carelessly or improperly, the user can also injure himself. This always happens when a large number of sausages have to be cut, for example for large barbecues or barbecue events. The user endeavors to hold the sausages in his hand and to move the handle block over the sausage. Careless action can result in cuts in the hand. The storage of the device turns out to be difficult, since this per se must not be stored on the blades in order to prevent them from becoming blunt. The blades are then freely accessible.
Object of the invention
The object of the invention is to provide a device for the deeply defined incision of a foodstuff or an object, for example a sausage skin, which on the one hand is inexpensive to manufacture and on the other hand can also be used safely.
Solution of the task
[0010] The object is achieved by the features of claim 1. Further developments can be found in the dependent claims.
Advantages of the invention
The basic idea of the invention is that a device is provided which provides a cutting element as an integral component. This makes it possible for the device to be manufactured as a single injection-molded part in one injection-molding process. The cutting element is preferably made of the same plastic as the rest of the component. However, the wall of the cutting element is so small that a cutting edge is created. A very simple and manageable plastic part can thus be produced. The one-piece design also defines the cutting depth. It is not possible to cut deeper than the free cutting edge of the cutting element provides. The cutting element and the sliding element form an integral part together with the handle element. This leads to the advantage that the entire device with its cutting function can be produced in a single injection molding process. This saves costs and eliminates the need for rework.
A further development according to the invention provides that the device and thus also the cutting element consists of a polymer, namely a highly crystalline, thermotropic plastic, which is characterized by high strength and in particular by low wall thicknesses. A so-called liquid crystal polymer (LCP polymer) thus replaces a conventional stainless steel cutting edge and also meets gastronomic requirements. The cutting element can thus be produced in the same production process in the plastic mold, so that no further processing of the device produced by the injection molding process is necessary.
The advantage of the LCP polymer is that it is not so sharp in comparison with stainless steel and therefore injuries can be avoided, especially if the device is kept in a drawer.
The device consists of a handle element and a sliding element. The sliding element has a flat base and a flat sliding surface. The sliding surface is used to lay on the material to be cut. The grip element is advantageously arranged centrally on the base surface of the sliding element. The cutting element, the grip element and the sliding element are in one piece.
[0015] The cutting element protrudes from the longitudinal extension of the sliding element. The greatest possible incision depth is limited by the sliding element. By placing the sliding element on the material to be cut, a uniform incision depth is always achieved in which the cutting element penetrates the material to be cut and the sliding element rests on the surface of the material to be cut. As a result, a safe and defined and specific position of the device is achieved, which in turn ensures safe handling.
This cutting element is preferably perpendicular out of the plane of the sliding surface. The shape of the cutting element is arbitrary per se. A semicircular shape is preferred which has the actual cutting edge on the outer circle. The cutting edge can be fluted.
The incision depth is defined by the depth of the cutting element up to the limit, namely up to the sliding element. In order to be able to ensure simple production and inexpensive production, instead of providing a complex positioning mechanism for the cutting element in order to provide the incision depth adjustable, different devices with different incision depths are provided.
It can also be provided that several cutting elements are arranged, which are preferably aligned in parallel.
The sliding element preferably has a rectangular design in plan view. In one embodiment, the end regions are flat. In an alternative embodiment, the end areas are bent away from the sliding surface (comparable to those on skis or skateboards). This enables the device to slide easily on the material to be cut.
A further development provides that the corners of the sliding element have curves. This ensures easier handling.
Due to the simple design of the device, cleaning in the dishwasher is possible.
The device is particularly suitable for cutting into a skin or intestine of a sausage in order to avoid uncontrolled bursting of the sausage or to give the sausage an attractive appearance. Further possible uses are provided in particular in the food sector, for example for cutting baked goods, dough, etc. The use is not limited to the food sector. Rather, cardboard, rubber goods or similar materials, for example, can be scratched (not cut through) so that folding or kinking is possible.
Since the device is a simple and inexpensive component, it can be used very well as an advertising medium. It can also be simply printed and pasted and thus individualized.
[0024] Further advantageous embodiments emerge from the following description, the claims and the drawings.
drawings
[0025] They show:<tb> Fig. 1 <SEP> a first perspective view of the device according to the invention;<tb> Fig. 2 <SEP> a further perspective view of the device according to the invention;<tb> <SEP> FIG. 3 shows a further view of the device according to FIGS. 1 and 2;<tb> Fig. 4 <SEP> a side view of the device of FIGS. 1 to 3;<tb> Fig. 5 <SEP> an enlarged illustration of the device, in particular the cutting element according to a section V in FIG. 4.
Description of an embodiment
1 to 5, the device 1 according to the invention is shown. This device 1 consists of a rectangular sliding element 2 formed in plan view. This sliding element 2 has a sliding surface 3 and a flat base 4.
A handle element 5 is arranged on the flat base surface 4. This grip element 5 can be grasped by one hand in order to move the device 1 in the correct position and properly.
On the side opposite the flat base surface 4, namely on the side of the sliding surface 3, a cutting element 6 is arranged. This cutting element 6 is arranged centrally on the sliding surface 3 and protrudes like a cutting edge from the plane spanned by the sliding surface 3. Blade-like means that a cutting element, comparable to a knife, extends out of the plane and has a cutting function comparable to a knife. The cutting element has a cutting edge with which the cut can be made. The cutting edge is an integral part of the cutting element and is preferably made of the same material. In order to form the cutting edge, it is sufficient to make the material correspondingly thin and / or to provide it with waves. The cutting element 6 is semicircular and has at least one cutting edge 7 on its circumference. Cutting element 6 and sliding surface 3 are preferably formed in one piece. The greatest possible incision depth S (FIG. 4) is formed by the sliding surface 3 as well as the side of the cutting element 6 that faces the furthest away from the sliding surface 3.
The sliding element 2 has end regions 8, 9. At least one end region 8, 9 is preferably arranged out of the plane of the sliding surface 3 and advantageously oriented in the direction of the grip element 5. As a result, the end areas are away from the sliding surface 3, so that the device can easily be placed on the material to be cut.
The base 4 but also the sliding surface 3 and also the handle element 5 are suitable for attaching advertising, so that the product could also be distributed as a promotional item, for example by butchers. Due to the technical design of the device, it is possible to simply move the device over the material to be cut with a hand movement in order to effect an incision.
